So uhm … In case you couldn’t tell, I own quite a lot of nail polishes. My apartment is basically girl-heaven. Here, you’ll find stacks of makeup palettes, blushes, eyeshadows, high-end brushes, drugstore dupes of more expensive brands, all the skincare (American and Asian) items you’ve ever wanted to try, and more. My nail polish collection alone spans over 100 colors, and well … Why would you ever get your nails done professionally when you have a kit like mine at home?
You’d be surprised at how many girlfriends I’ve had to teach the basics of nail polish application to. Once you nail it (heheheh) and get enough practice in, you can get flawless nail polish application every time. Plus, why spend $30 on a mani/pedi when you can spend $6 for hundreds of at-home applications of your favorite polish?
Painting your own nails is incredibly therapeutic, and if you haven’t tried it yet, this short video teaching you the basics of nail polish application should help you out.
Once you’ve locked down the basics, we can get into the more fancy stuff! Like studded gems, artfully-placed glitter, cool designs, do-it-yourself gel polish, and more. Stay tuned.
PS. You can pick up the double-sided cases I use to store my nail polishes on Amazon for $29.99 each.
