And for those of you who only read my blog because you’re thirsty for pictures of yours truly (you know who you are!), feast your eyes on these beauties! And then quit complaining that I’ve stopped taking pictures of myself. I’ve been busy, okay?!
And for those of you interested in seeing what I’ve been doing illustration-wise for pleasure, here are a few ridiculous sketches that I did while goofing off with a friend of mine.
Each sketch is about 4″ x 5″ and took me approximately three minutes to complete for each. I doodled them on my friend’s notebook while waiting for him to get out of the shower, and he shot them to me via picture message over texting. :3
And some live drawings I did over FlockDraw (this cool service online that allows you to live draw while your friends either watch or join in!). I first started off drawing pretty serious stuff like Zelda-type Fan Art.
Quickly grew bored, sketched tongues onto the characters, and transformed one of them into a Pokemon. XD
And realized that with a little tweaking, Likitung(sp?) reminded me of a friendly purple dinosaur I grew up loving. :3
After which I erased everything on the screen, and sketched something that’s probably a bit NSFW (shield your eyes, children!).
Shame on you! Knock first! This stall is occupied. ;)
… Doesn’t look like she minds though. Pahahahaha.
And here, I censored it for you too (even though it might be a bit late for that):
And what else have I done lately?! *Rubs forehead* Gawd, I’ve been doing a lot of crap. For being unemployed, I definitely know how to keep myself busy, hmm?
I uhm … Converted my CheriTV Channel on YouTube into a Tech and Gaming Related show? And despite having zero videos up, I seem to have a pretty sizeable amount of subscribers & views! Check it out here. — And don’t forget to subscribe!
Also, in one day, my painting of L has managed to weasel it’s way into the collections and favorites of over 100+ DeviantArtists! Who knew fan art could be so popular?!
But okay! Enough working!
I have a few things left to do like writing this next article for G4TV.com, drawing up three more commissions that people have already paid for, and hopefully getting a good night’s sleep. … But only after reading this huge graphic novel, Blankets, by Craig Thompson that my friend let me borrow.
Phew!
XOXO Cheri XOXO

MOREEEE!!!!
Dude, I feel so drained. LOL. I just spent literally all day creating more and more and more content — I don’t know how I do it. -_-“
I like in the NSFW image that you incorporated a mirror image where we can see the expression of the viewer. That’s an old Dutch technique that goes back a few hundred years. I don’t recall you ever doing that before. Hope you keep the art going. I have another idea for a commission, but I’ll hold off with it for now. I also hope you’ll continue work on your daily web-comic, and maybe seriously begin work on your own graphic novel.
It was honestly just a last-minute addition to the picture — I wasn’t thinking it through. It just sort of happened! Such is the magic of live drawing. You never know WHAT’S going to pop out! Ha.
Anyway, yes! I’ll be doing all of those things. But I’m trying to spread everything out right now, as I’m sort of overloading myself like the workaholic I am. So some days you’ll see serious pieces, other days you’ll see webcomics, maybe you’ll see some gaming or tech related videos or articles here and there, etc etc — EVERYTHING.
I have too many interests. Ha.
But at least I keep track of it all here!
I know you still have a little more than two weeks to decide, but does it look good that you’ll be remaining in San Francisco? I know you don’t wanna go back to Stockton, but it’s not the worst thing in the world. Do hope you can manage to remain in SF, though. Your artistic drive and motivation has seriously increased since you got there.
Yeah, I’ll be staying here. In my new place, I have enough left to survive for about two or three more months. But you can bet I’ll be supplementing my income by freelancing a shitload, taking more commissions, and taking side gigs and applying for jobs left and right (as usual).
And you’re right about my “artistic drive and motivation” increasing since I’ve arrived here. Stockton wasn’t good for me at all.
That’s ridiculous that you have more subscribers then me, and I’ve been trying so hard! D:
But glad to see you’ve been keeping yourself busy!
Get to geeking out already! :)
Ha! Well, to be fair, there used to be a few videos on the channel. I just made them all private for the redesign. :3
You sure are a busy person. Glad to be updated, though :)
If Gem, saw your post about Carnegie Mellon. Congrats! If you go, Pitt is a great city. Good luck. :)
I try to be, anyway. I think I’d go crazy with nothing to do all day. :/ It’s good to have “work”.
yay for more cute pics :)
Blankets is a great read! Hope you enjoy it.
I’m enjoying it so far! It’s a bit depressing, but I definitely relate to a lot of what Craig Thompson’s been through.
I love the Mia drawing, at first glance I thought it was Faye from Cowboy Bebop. I love, love, love the dressing room pic, it reminds me of Harley Quinn from Batman. Keep up the good work, and best of luck :)
Faye is AWESOME. But nah — no headband for her, ha. Anyhoo, thank you! And right? I tried to give her a more “comic book” feel instead of the typical anime look I’m always going for. Ha. Thank you.
LOL.
I can see my curser (Crinsi) – I jumped in after I saw it, but was way too intimidated of your quick and nearly professional drawings :D
But it was really interesting and fun to watch! :)
Did u draw with you Wancom or just the usual mouse?
Don’t work too much ;)
LOL. You can draw with me, I don’t care. :) Someone actually accidentally (or purposefully?) drew this huge thick line across my drawing, and I didn’t mind. That’s the fun of it. XD Also, I use a Wacom. :3
Cheri!!
This might be really random, but you should do a room tour on youtube! lol it looks so cool!
: )
Ha! That sounds like a good idea. … Except my room is so small, that honestly, who cares? Haha. But I will do it anyways just for you. :3
