It’s incredibly possible that I have a shopping problem.
Which is, y’know, normal I guess for a “girl” or whatever — but seriously, I should probably just coop myself up indoors watching Netflix all day (again) instead of running around blowing cash on pretty things. That would be the “smart” thing to do, right? Not spend money while living in this incredibly expensive city?
Like yesterday, I told myself, “Cheri, today you’re going to go out and buy walking boots for traversing San Francisco comfortably. Possibly get food. But that’s it! Nothing else!”
And uh … It didn’t really turn out that way.
For example, if your detective skills are as accurate as L’s from Death Note (which is the most amazing anime series ever, and I’ve spent all day watching it — just saying), you’ll deduce the following from the picture above:
Those boots are brand new.
I am in a dressing room in San Francisco’s 2-story H&M.
And that’s a Sephora shopping bag hanging on the coat hook behind me.
Which means, I definitely did not stick to just buying new boots.
But the boots I did get are pretty amazing, right?!
They seriously remind me of the boots I draw onto my characters (when I bother to draw full-body images, anyway). … In fact, they are exactly like the boots that I draw on my girls. Click here for proof!
Maybe that’s why I was attracted to them? I don’t know.
Either way, they’re comfortable. They’re lightweight. They’re not too “over the top” when it comes to strappy boots. And I can rough them up as much as I want, and they’ll still look badass. (;
Thanks, Steve Madden!
Oh, and if you noticed in the picture above, I wore that new top out that I got at Forever 21.
Oh, and remember how I was like, “I don’t know what I’m gonna wear this top with since it’s see-through! A cute bra with jewel straps? Lingerie?”
I chose lingerie.
And wouldn’t you know it, hot Asian pornstars Asa Akira and London Keyes happen to own the exact same sexy, black, lacy underwear (Click here for very NSFW proof). And I have to say … Nice taste, ladies, because I also own that same blue lingerie that Asa’s wearing, as well as a red version. Bahahaha!
If you’ve been following me or reading my blog for a while, you’ll know how obsessed I am with sexy underwear. I mean, we’re only young once, right? And we only have one body. So why would I waste any time not using what I was gifted with? I don’t want to turn 60 years old one day and realize that I’ve had this incredibly gorgeous body my entire life and never took advantage of it — who does that?!
So again, I like to play dress-up as much as possible. (;
And this includes trying on cute hats!
Another thing about me — I love fedoras. I’m pretty sure I went through a huge fedora phase about a year or two ago. How many of you remember that? … I’ve gained so many followers/readers over the past few years that I really don’t know who’s stuck around this long, or who’s brand new!
Anyway, what better time to resurface my adoration for men’s accessories than while living in San Francisco? (:
I liked this color better! Yellow straw, navy ribbon band — I have more stuff that goes with it, so it made more sense to pick this one up rather than the white color.
Also, check out how many freaking shopping bags I’m carrying in this picture?! OMFG. That Steve Madden bag was huge (I had, like, three pairs of new shoes in it. Wow).
Read the following Tweets from bottom to top to find out why:
See what I mean about a shopping problem? I seriously need to control myself. That’s why I’m vowing to stay in doors for the next few days unless someone invites me out, or asks me to come chill with them. I have enough clothes, damn it!
… But I can’t help it that I want more.
Here are those new Oxfords that I tweeted about:
I picked them up in Pewter and Camel — both from Steve Madden.
& I’M IN LOVE WITH THEM.
I’m seriously so happy living in San Francisco — being able to wear whatever the fuck I want and not care about what other people think about me here has been such a huge relief. I feel like I can finally express myself through my clothing, through my makeup, through my blog — through whatever — and not have to worry about anyone will say about me.
It’s like …
I’m just happy.
I’m really happy here.
It’s such a huge change here from Stockton. And I know I’ve said that a lot, but it really is. There’s so many people, so many places to eat, to shop, to hang out, and it’s always so busy here that you just don’t have the time to judge anyone. And likewise, I don’t think anyone else really has the time to judge you either.
You can get away with wearing pretty much anything.
… And I intend to wear whatever the fuck I want.
Anyhoo, here’s another look at the amazing fedora I picked up.
Don’t you just love the shadow it casts across my face? It’s seriously perfect for a photoshoot, so you can bet you’ll be seeing me sporting this thing in some new shots. I’ve been setting up photoshoots with photographers over the next few weeks (just to busy myself, really — I hate being unproductive; you know me), so you’ll be seeing a ton of new photos up on the blog soon! (:
Here’s something else I got.
It’s this ridiculous, furry little “tail” keychain thing that I’m basically going to be using as an accessory for whatever purse I happen to be lugging around (I like to personalize whatever it is that I’m wearing — I really don’t like looking “like everyone else”).
Incredibly cheap, brown leather braided belt.
I swear H&M has the best accessories for so cheap.
Keep me away from that store. Seriously.
A fantastic brown leather braided bracelet with gold feather and leaf accents.
A cluster of gorgeous “antique/vintage” feel cocktail rings.
More gorgeous and ridiculously cheap accessories that spell out “Gorgeous” and “Lovely” (two words that obviously describe me, bahahahaha).
Another ring cluster!
Fantastic patterned nude tights — because why just wear boring nude tights when you can get them patterned and sexy like this?!
An amazing navy blue menswear blazer — incredibly long, but still slim and gorgeous.
This really cute, feather-light navy striped shirt-dress that I’m probably going to have to pick up some nude lingerie or a slip of some kind to wear underneath it (since it’s a bit transparent in the right lights).
And now for everything put together how I’d want to wear it …
I know. I’m amazing and I have great taste — yes, yes. I already know this.
GOD I LOVE SAN FRANCISCO.
Rich (Follow him on Twitter @RichIGN) was hanging out with me yesterday and told me that although he loves my style, H&M is an incredibly “boring” place to shop and that I’m missing out on all of the cool boutiques.
Is this true, San Franciscans?! Am I really missing out on all of the good places to shop?! Because seriously — H&M has fucking everything. I mean, look at the freaking outfit I was able to put together there!
Tell me that isn’t gorgeous?!
It’s entirely Menswear-inspired (the leather accessories, the oxford shoes, the fedora hat, the navy jacket, etc etc) — but still so cute and feminine!
The rings are from Forever 21, by the way. I think I remember mentioning the other day that I bought a bunch of jewelry from there. I just haven’t had the time to properly photograph everything and throw it up on the blog.
But this entry was more important anyway!
Sigh. I wish I could shop for a living. -_-”
Anyhoo, here are some new nailpolishes I picked up from Sephora!
The colors are (from left to right): Screen Test, What A Broad, Go With the Flow-er, Set The Mood, and How Cute Is That?.
And yes, they’re all gorgeous.
And a new eyelash curler from Tarte Cosmetics, since the rubber on my Shu Uemura eyelash curler is finally wearing out! Supposedly, the Tarte Cosmetics curler is comparable to the Shu Uemura curler! So of course I picked it up. Heh.
Like I said, I’m cutting myself off from my Debit Card and restricting myself to a very fine budget! NECESSITIES ONLY! NO SHOPPING ALLOWED!
… Y’know, unless you wanna buy something for me. Heehee.
Whaddya guys think? Would you wear what I’m wearing? Do you like what I bought? Do you have any suggestions on lesser known shops to check out with reasonable prices? Let me know!
