Do y’all realize how badly I’ve been wanting to shoot with Keith?
This shoot was a long time coming, I’ll tell you that much. I’ve always
looked at other’s work and thought to myself, “I guess that photographer
is okay …” But there was never really anything that wow’ed me.

That is, until I stumbled onto Keith Selle‘s fantastic photography!!

The dude is a pro. His lighting setup is fantastic, and his post-processing is genius.
He’s got everything down a tee. And the best part is — he’s getting better.

One of the shitty things about being a photographer is that you’re always a little
upset that you’re not the one doing the photoshoot. For me, anyways.
I mean, if there were two of me, you’d better believe I’d be shooting my
own ass all damn day!! But there’s not. So instead, I’m forced to bring my creative
eye out by being the photographer instead of the model. *Sigh*

So it was just a nice break to be the one in front of the camera instead of
the one behind it. Because lately, all I’ve ever been is behind the damn camera.
Everyone’s like, “Bring your camera, Cheri!!” lately. And I can’t help but think,
“Jeez! Is that all I’m good for?! My camera?!” Siiigh.
But whatever. If it means more business for me in the long run, I guess I can’t really
complain. Besides, the more comfortable people are with me having a camera in my hand,
the more comfortable they will be when it comes to shooting them, I’m sure!

Keith was all, “You spend so long beautifying other people with your
photography — now it’s your turn!!” And I couldn’t help but laugh!! Because you’re
damn right it’s my turn!! :P Jk, jk. … No, not really. It really did feel good to finally
do my own thing for a few hours.

These are just some of the photos that I lay out at my booth for import events. There’s so much
more room for improvement with my modeling. And most girls start out when they’re around
18 or so. So if you think about it, I’m kinda’ late in the game. I mean, my camwhoring
has only taught me so much! LOL.

That’s why I figure I’ll just do this for fun, but pursue other ventures instead. My
cousin who came to visit me recently said, “You’re getting to that
age where you should probably settle down and just pick something instead of handling
everything you’re good at all at once. Time to have focus.” And she’s right. I really
do need to just pick something. :/ Maybe photography? I dunno’ …

I HATE DECISIONS SOMETIMES!! :(
There’s just so much that I want to do, y’know?! My mind is freakin’ all over the
place when it comes to goals. I want everything to move faster. I’m sick of this
waiting game. BLEHHH.

For instance, next week, I’m flying out to LA to shoot family portraits, individuals, etc.
And I’m even booked to shoot a celebrity! *GASP* That should be insane for my
portfolio, right?! And then soon, I’ll be shooting a famous UFC/MMA (I always get
those two mixed up) fighter! WTF?! I’m just hoping to build my portfolio, really.
Get one or two impressive shots in there, and it’s gold, y’know?

But like I said, it all takes more practice.
I truly am blessed to have so many opportunities, though.
Really, I am.
