Okay, okay. Stop whining.
I got your comments, people. You’re upset that I’m posting too much about video games, and my reviews are supposedly too “intense” for you guys. And y’know what? Instead of defending myself and telling you that I’m a human being, that this is my personal website, and that I have multiple interests besides your damn makeup?

I’ll be hosting a beauty giveaway instead.
Because that’s how badass I am.

I was recently sponsored by Michael Todd Cosmetics. And when I looked up their twitter, there was some hot dude in the picture so I was like, “Hey, sure, why not?” Plus, they sent me this huge catalog of makeup crap to take a look at, and I was just like, “Oh my god?! Can I please just have all of it?!”

But of course, they only sent me a few of the items since I was terrible with picking out what I wanted. I mean, obviously I can’t really have one of everything. That would just be selfish!

Because of this, most of what they sent me was stuff that I, personally, would never really use. But that doesn’t mean that you makeup junkies won’t want to get your hands on this stash, right?? :-D So I tested the products anyways (with the various plastic doohickeys that makeup artists happen to have on hand for sanitation reasons), and found that this stuff is actually really good quality! Was I surprised?

YES.

Sometimes companies send me some bottom-of-the-barrel junk. And they’re always like, “Cheri, we’d prefer if you only mentioned positive things about us and kept the negative comments to yourself.” And of course, most companies that send me things have some pretty crappy products, so it’s like, “Well, what am I supposed to do now? Support free shit that I don’t like, or just not say anything at all?”

Fortunately for all of you, I’m a pretty straight up person.
So when a random cosmetic company approaches me to take a look at their stash, I usually only review the ones that I personally feel deserve the spotlight.

Take Michael Todd Cosmetics, for instance.
Some of the smoothest lipsticks, most opaque cream lip glosses, and softest shadows that I’ve ever managed to work with, and it was all packaged incredibly well! That’s surprising to me because no one ever really thinks that far into their products.

Most independent companies that have sent me their makeup in the past have delivered the review items to me in cracked containers, with spilled & shattered eyeshadows, loose jars of primer that dried out, etc — awful, really.

So if I don’t like what I receive, I don’t review it. Sometimes they’re just not up to my standards (and therefore by default, I assume that they won’t be up to your standards either). I deliver only the best, so thumbs up to Michael Todd Cosmetics for the amazing and free makeup!

But uh … I hope you don’t mind that I just give it all away? ;-)
